I bought these half a year ago, Audio Technica ATH-MH40
http://www.zzounds.com/item--AUTATHM40FS

They're not expensive, comfy and make for a nice sound. I'd buy them again anytime.

like do the individual spekers flip outward away from your ear? no. do the slide behind your ear to the back of your head on one side for one ear cueing? yes. i just use them for making beats. but everything i listen to on them sounds good. their more of a studio headphone. i assume you asked about that for djing.

I've had a pair of these sony cans - they've lasted for 12 years so far. I've replaced the earpads once for $15. When you see someone on TV with headphones running some equipment, they normally have these. They don't have super hyped bass if that's what you're after.

Been spending at least 3 nights out of 5 with these headphones on for the last 5 years.
I'll buy another pair on the day they will die: confortable, reliable, and closed (for real: no sound will escape from these).
Such a reference, for me and for numerous studios around here.
