The Solecast Episode 11 w/ Ceschi Ramos of Fake Four Inc
Episode #11 is with Rap/Folk artist & Fake Four label head Ceschi Ramos. Ceschi is one of the most original and exciting "new" voices to emerge from the indie-rap scene. His music is a rare take on punk/hardcore/folk punk and experimental rap stylings. He runs Fake Four Inc, one of the last great record labels that puts out a wide range of music from rock, electronica to rap music. Fake Four put out 3 releases from Sole & The Skyrider Band; "Plastique," "Challenger EP," and "Hello Cruel World."
About a year ago he got out of prison for drug shit. In this interview we talk about running a record label in such fleeting times, his experience in prison, his thoughts on race today, vegetarianism, philosophy and everything else.
For more information on Ceschi check him out on twitter or check his music out.
Fire The Police
In the wake of the grand jury decision to not indict Darren Wilson for the murder of Mike Brown, People around the world are united against the police. Police killings of youth of color are fanning the flames of revolution, and moderate forces are unable to keep the so called "peace." This is Unprecedented civil disobedience for our generation. Folks continues to shut shit down all over the country, and we once again find ourselves in revolutionary times. Much of the post-ferguson conversation has been about putting body cameras on cops, demilitarizing them, and punishing a few “bad apples,” as if that were the problem...
"We can decide how we want to live without police and the pathetic form of survival they are trying to keep together..." -1882Woodbine

New Episode of The Solecast! Ep 10 w/ Graham Clumpner of Iraq Veterans Against The War
Click here to Listen to my interview with Graham Clumpner.
For the past year the Solecast has been on hiatus. Largely because out of the blue my father died and I just didn't have very much to say, it was a lot to process. It brought on a wave of stress that I largely internalized and wasn't functioning at my best.
Switching servers made this entire process pretty difficult as well, so I had to delete my old podcast page on itunes. This fucks up a lot of shit, so if you have time to "rate" the podcast in itunes or "subscribe" to it if you want that would be awesome.

This interview was great for me and highly informative, Graham was in Denver for the summer organizing the Iraq Veterans Against The War conference and we got a chance to hang out a lot. This dude is brilliant and hilarious. His observations connecting militarism, to society, to gaming, to the environment, and what it says about the future is truly eye opening. Check out the interview here.
